“A Sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, and a golden thread to the meaning of life”.
To celebrate this special bond, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated by Amrita Nursery on August 16th. The tiny tots tied rakhis to students of class 10 to signify the beautiful bond of trust and protection, and prayed for their good health and prosperity. The brothers in turn gave gifts to their tiny sisters and promised to protect them under all circumstances. Bri. Anjali amma graced the occasion, and thanked the teachers, parents and children for their combined effort in catalysing the feeling of caring and affection between brothers and sisters.
As a gesture of gratitude, the little ones also tied rakhis to doctors, drivers and police officers on Raksha Bandhan. The police officers and doctors offered fruits to the children, and promised to protect them and all the children of our country. The police officers praised and congratulated Amrita Vidyalayam for instilling and nurturing our culture in young children.
