GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATION AT MA MATH

Guru Purnima is a day dedicated to the Guru, and a celebration of wisdom and knowledge. The celebration was organized by Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM) on July 21st, where more than 500 students, teachers, parents and devotees came together as a community to offer their love and gratitude to Amma for all the blessings and guidance she had given throughout the year.

The event started at 5 pm with Gurustotra and Archana followed by Paduka puja by Bri. Anjali amma. Everyone watched intently, each feeling like they were washing Amma’s lotus feet personally. The entire prayer hall was devotionally charged. Students of Amrita Vidyalayam sang bhajans rejoicing in the glory of their Divine Mother, taking everyone’s breath away. Teachers and students led by Bri. Anjali amma sang 5 to 6 bhajans. Every line in the lyrics of the bhajans helped maintain a soulful ambiance in the atmosphere. Speaking to Amma’s blessed children, Bri. Anjali amma said that Guru Purnima is meant to be celebrated every day and not just once a year.

The celebration concluded with Arati to Amma performed for the overall well-being of the family, their good health, success and prosperity, and Shanti mantra. Prasadam organized by the Math was served to all with lot of devotion and love.
