The 42nd State level Cubs and Bulbuls Utsav was held at Annie Besant Park, Doddaballapura from January 3rd to 5th, 2020. Around 800 students and teachers from different districts participated in this Utsav. Seven Cubs and 15 Bulbuls from Amrita Vidyalayam Davangere had participated in the Utsav.
The main objectives of this Utsav were:
- Developing habits which lead to good character
- Doing at least one good deed daily
- Expressing their creative skills
- Developing respect for elders, love for youngsters and a spirit of cooperation.
State Chief Commissioner Shri P.G.R. Sindhia in his inspirational speech urged the children to follow family tradition and to conserve nature. Various competitions such as Cub greeting, Jungle storytelling, handicrafts, paper cuttings, clay modelling, group dances and group songs were conducted. The Cubs and Bulbuls from Amrita Vidyalayam Davangere came out winners in these competitions and are eligible for the Zilla Pursaskar Award which will be presented to them by the Davangere District Commissioner at the DC office.
Attending these Utsavs has helped our children in character building, cultivating self-discipline and becoming independent.
