In order to gain hands-on experience related to nature, the tiny tots of Amrita Nursery were taken to Krishi Vignana Kendra, Davangere on December 23, 2019. The main objective of this activity was to reinforce the importance of nature and to inculcate love for the environment in the young children. Children observed and explored the process of vermicomposting, pisciculture and green house farming. They investigated rare species of fruits, vegetables and flowers. They also interacted with the officials and learnt about the use of green manure in cultivating crops. The visit sensitized the students towards caring for the environment and the importance of all living beings.
