To inculcate a sense of social responsibility in our students, Amrita Institutions has initiated the Amritam Project to fulfil Amma’s vision of spreading universal happiness.
Under Amritam Project’s “A Handful of Rice and a Heart Full of Love”, students bring a handful of rice every Monday which is collected and donated to needy families, orphanages and old age homes.
On July 6th , students of Class IX visited SUDHAAMA, Home for the Dying Destitute, Amaravati, Harihara and donated 125 kg of rice. They spent quality time with the inmates of the Home, sharing valuable moments filled with love and compassion. The students also sought the blessings of the inmates at SUDHAAMA.
