Communal Harmony Week – November 19 to 25, 2015

Amrita Vidyalayam, Davangere celebrated Communal Harmony Week from November 19 to 25, 2015.

During this week, various activities were organized for the students with the goal of sensitizing them towards India’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural social fabric. The idea was to bring about the realization that the human element will always remain above any differences or discrimination. The event also helped to inculcate important values in the children by creating awareness, which in turn would contribute towards the development of superior life skills.

Elocution, slogan writing, and poster making were conducted during the week. The Harmony pledge was taken by the whole school, conveying the importance of living in peace and harmony. Some funds were raised by placing a collection box.

The celebration and activities were well received by the students, and they participated with complete enthusiasm.
